Workplace Harassment Training
What’s the price of a few off-color joke e-mails? Litigation and government oversight relating to workplace harassment are on the rise, and violators can pay a devastating price in terms of jury awards, settlements and/or fines — not to mention reputation, productivity and morale.
Watch this brief video for more details on the risks associated with workplace harassment.
To minimize these serious risks, it is crucial that employers make every effort to eliminate workplace conduct that may constitute harassment. Toward that end, SHRM's workplace harassment course delivers up-to-date training from Littler Mendelson, the world’s largest employment law firm. Styled as a TV news show, this course places workplace harassment lessons into a vivid, real-world context, where students learn about the impact of harassment, and how to prevent and report it.
All of the courses are self-paced with save-and-exit functionality and feature a certificate of completion. Going beyond sexual harassment to cover additional protected categories like race, disability, and sexual orientation, the Manager Standard course meets every federal, state and District of Columbia training requirement — including demanding sexual harassment training standards mandated by California (AB 1825), Connecticut and Maine.
